Associate Professor Minjeong Kim received an NIH R25 grant as a co-PI, titled “Summer Research Education Program for Promoting Computational Neuroimaging Technology in Alzheimer’s Disease (AD) and AD-Related Dementias (ADRD).” In this research education program, Prof. Kim will develop short courses for student participants’ learning regarding principles of imaging physics for multi-protocol MR imaging and advance students’ learning through participation in image acquisition processes in collaboration with UNCG MRI Center.

She also received a UNC System Research Opportunities Initiative (ROI) grant as a co-PI with UNCG Chemistry, UNC-CH, UNCC, and NCAT, titled “Nature Inspired Collaborative Energy Research (NICER).” She will leverage advanced graph learning techniques to classify complex configuration patterns within large and heterogeneous molecular structures and extend the framework into an integrated AI platform for automating molecule labeling.

Congratulations, Professor Kim!
