Computer Science – Visiting Assistant Professor Positions

The Department of Computer Science at UNC Greensboro has one and possibly two Visiting Assistant Professor positions available for the 2024-2025 academic year, to meet the teaching needs in our rapidly growing and vibrant Computer Science programs.

Responsibilities:  This is a non-tenure-track, 9-month appointment that may include the possibility of renewal based on factors including, but not limited to, continued need, satisfactory performance, and availability of funding. The position involves teaching a variety of courses in computer science for majors and non-majors.  Teaching assignments will take into account the candidate’s experience and, whenever possible, preferences. The courses will primarily be upper-level undergraduate and graduate classes. Classes are generally during the day, although an occasional early evening section may be required. Qualifications:  Minimum qualification for a Visiting Assistant Professor appointment is a doctoral degree in Computer Science or closely related fields.

Computer Science – Full-Time Lecturer Position

The Department of Computer Science at UNC Greensboro has a Lecturer position available for the 2024-2025 academic year, to meet the teaching needs in our rapidly growing and vibrant Computer Science program.

Responsibilities:  This is a professional-track, 9 month appointment that may include the possibility of renewal based on factors including, but not limited to, continued need, satisfactory performance, and availability of funding. The position involves teaching a variety of courses in computer science for majors and non-majors.  Teaching assignments will take into account the candidate’s experience and, whenever possible, preferences. The courses will primarily be lower-level undergraduate classes, but if a candidate’s experience, qualifications, and interest are appropriate then teaching assignments could include upper-level or graduate level classes.
