Professor Kim receives a grant for deep learning-based microscopic image analysis

Assistant Professor Minjeong Kim received a subaward from Wake Forest University. The grant supports her interdisciplinary research with biophysicists and cell biologists at Wake Forest University for chromatin mobility analysis in microscopic imaging. In this project, Professor Kim and her students aim to develop deep learning algorithms for predicting fluorescent bead position changes to different directions both in 2D and 3D microscopic imaging data with multiple different settings of spatial resolutions. It will enable to track of chromatin marker mobility over time for understanding biological phenomena.
